New Rule For Awarding Benefits Is Put Into Effect

Dealing with applications for disability benefits and other benefit programs is no joke. One of the most important things in these scenarios is to be informed as quickly as possible with the correct information you need to know as to whether you have a chance of being approved or not.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) is always looking for and attempting innovations for these benefit programs and they recently just did so. As of April 27th, 2020 a new rule will be put into place that will allow those who are unable to speak English to qualify for such benefits, this rule has been in effect for many years.

One thing to keep in mind is that the SSA also takes education into consideration. That said, there is data out there showing that this measure (of not speaking english) is not a great indicator for qualifying for such benefits.
